BBC Sports Scotland Continues To Insult Celtic Fans Watching The Highlights Show.

Last night, BBC Sports Scotland did what they have a tendency to do these days; they put three ex-Ibrox players in their studio for the highlights show, much of which was devoted to praising the genius of the manager over there.

On a night when we won 7-1 in the best performance of the season, when Celtic fans wanted no more than to watch it, this is what the “national broadcaster” hit us with. Another Ibrox love-in presided over by the EBT brigade.

This is some shameful stuff. The bias is appalling. They aren’t even trying to hide this any longer and I know a lot of people out there are scoffing at the idea that they ever did, this is just so naked and in your face that it makes you want to scream.

We were absolutely brilliant last night, a performance to remind everyone in this country who the champions are and why, but that’s like a studio team hand-picked just in case we weren’t, so they could go over the wreckage of our season whilst sniggering about it all.

This show is supposed to be for football fans across the game. How many clubs are represented in that studio in any given week? We know that one certainly is. How can anyone who follows another club stomach something that blatant? Do neutrals even watch that show any longer? Why would they? It’s devoted almost completely to covering the one from Ibrox.

During the Celtic highlights, they showed Brendan Rodgers, near the end of the game, losing his mind on the touchline.

Actually, according to my sister who watched the game on the PPV stream, they actually took that clip from the start of the match before we were a goal up, so they edited it deliberately to make him look displeased with the performance … that’s just atrocious, that’s Jane Lewis misrepresenting the boss before the game on Saturday, which is what led to him cutting her off in the later interview. This is how they operate.

There is nothing neutral or impartial about that show. It is high time Celtic complained, as a club, for the way they behave and if they won’t at least pretend not to be so outrageously slanted in favour of Ibrox we should ban them from Parkhead.

They’re pretty much gettin away with what they want now. All the negativity they can dig up. DR jackson at his sly best also, sneakily suggestin that our first half performance, was due tae the supports reaction tae the kilmarnock goal. Whit complete and utter shite that clown talks. It’s his way in sayin we needed somethin from THEM tae play the way we did. Spoke total shite about the motherwell 2nd half and there he is again. Mark Pirie, another warmer, he’s tryin tae make a case for Idah tae be red carded. More wishful thinkin garbage. Ye can see that how we’re managin tae stay right in it, as well as playin better, is gettin tae them big time. If we can continue tae improve, can expect a lot more of this crap.

    • Kevan McKeown says:

Ffs and actually just saw the diamonde incident. Couldnae believe that. Most obvious red card ye’ll see. How he didnae walk is an utter disgrace. david dickenson eh ?!

  • king murdy says:

i had to laugh when i turned on and there were the 3 “neutral” huns…….
what a disgrace this is….and why do celtic fc just roll over….?
it will be all the sweeter if we can win this title….

  • Stewart says:

It’s been that way for ever,,,I must give them pundits their dues as they wax lyrical about the intense pressure play and slick movement on and off the ball, when you’ve just watched the game!! Not the same as I watched, a sublime blooter up the park an run lyk fk,,, if no chance of gettin er 1st go down lyka sack of spuds for for free kick or pen,,, if,,, if we can turn in the performance of last nite var can’t touch us we’ll smash em,

  • John L says:

BBC . Should be PPH , Pension Pot for Huns, I actually hate paying my tv licence, cause it goes towards paying these dirty imposters .

A bit about last night’s match, that was more like BR first time , hunting in packs and getting the ball back as quick as possible, because without the ball, they can’t hurt us.

    More of the same please.

    • Clachnacuddin and the Hoops says:

      Stop paying it then John…

Remember they have to get over your door to try any of their shenanigans !

  • Gordon Ashley says:

If only there were people who wrote blogs who could come together and start a petition to have the daily record and the bbc banned from our stadium and present it to the club

  • Tom says:

I think you will find they are banned. Haven’t been invited to press conferences since start of season.

    • Clachnacuddin and the Hoops says:

They’re not banned – They had an appalling sticky image of a camera there which has affected my eyes last night and today and I’m off to ma GP later about this and might try to sue them or at the least get future ‘WARNING – This May affect your eyesight” ticker tape messaging put up…

They also seemed to have a commentator there as well who for them seemed to do his job ok which is what he bloody well should do !

  • Will Daly says:

I agree Ban them from Parkhead we do not need their shit hail hail.

  • Clachnacuddin and the Hoops says:

    “It’s high time Celtic complained”

James – April Fools day is in 33 days time !

Talking of Fools the only Fools are supporters of EVERY other SPFL club that choose to fund them…

James (McK) a Celtic supporter in my street pays them –

Janine another Celtic supporter three doors along does not pay them…

You know – She is actually a Good Ghirl !

  • harold shand says:

    There are all it

Daily Record match report headline on Twitter last night when the huns equalized

    ‘ We are level ‘

  • Bob L says:

Agree wholeheartedly, James. BBC Scotland is quite obviously biased in a major way. Is it against Catholicism, or Celtic, or both? Just need to look closely at their recruitment on all programmes. Action required? Most definitely. Needs people to ask questions for change to happen

  • SFATHENADIROFCHIFTINESS says:

James, calm doon fer fecks saké.
‘Twas ever thus, plus ça change and all that.

They, the Beeb, are a Unionist, Monarchist Establishment tool and in Fair Scotia this gives them free rein
to stomp on us Tim’s, Kaffliks and Indy types.

I’m 70 and since I was 14 and saw my first game, in the jungle, and I started to see what my Dad & Uncles meant.
It’s infuriating but it will never change, they and the SFA will not reform themselves. Only in an Independent Scottish State will we be able to dump them and create a new Broadcaster fit for the 21st Century with a ‘TRULY’ Independent Ombudsman to oversee it’s output. We will then be in a position to force the SFA to overhaul itself or face oblivion. The Clubs can then install the type of Organisation that suits them and not just one Frankenstein’s grotesque, monstrosity of a Club.

    • Jim Duffy says:

SFA how can we have a truly independent state when the SNP under wee Nicky stated that we’ll still keep sterling and still keep the MONARCHY,what kind of independence is that she should have said we’ll try and get the Euro and get shot of the monarchy but she knew Scotland was and still is full of unionist, protestants,I remember when our local councillor was a member of the communist party and he done a great job,and as left wing socialists we always classed SNP as tartan Tories with all their rugger chap types , Crawford, Findlay, Farquhar,Forbes etc they were definitely well to do types ,and they were racist bigots as well, they didn’t like coloured chaps or kafflicks,Church of Scotland, aye come in to the body of the Kirk, Scotland is still a parochial little backward country, the bestvwee bigoted country in the world.

    • Clachnacuddin and the Hoops says:

Yes indeed – Independent Scotland would reign them in to the point of no return for sure…

Not sure if The SNP will manage it any time soon but hopefully so and if not then maybe a Scottish Sinn Fein might be the answer as they’re doing magnificently well in The Island of Ireland –

But just to be rid of these Labour Loving, Tory Loving and Lib Dem Loving, Butchers Apron apologists and with them subsequently BBC Sevco Scotland will be a fine and beautiful day in the history of Scotland for certain…

Thankfully ma niece in her fourth year at Glasgow University says that 90% of her year are in big favour of independence for Scotland (and Ireland) so it’s just a case of waiting for the old dim witted and relic relic anti change dinosauric unionists to kick the bucket and that’ll be another good step on the way to freedom from British Tyranny once and for all !

SAOR ALBA – SAOR ALBA – SAOR ALBA !!!

  • Michael Docherty says:

Why don’t you request a freedom of information report from BBC Scotland on the process of recruitment for employing pundits for the Sportscene Panel. There is clearly an under- representation from players of other clubs.

  • Terence Nova says:

I’m surprised you never mentioned the lack of scrutiny or discussion on Killie’s second penalty claim…If that had been against us…do you think it would have been ignored?…Not a chance…And yes our Club should complain …but then we’re not very good at that kind of thing…BBC Sevco rules.

  • Dan Tinney says:

They are already banned except where the club are contractually obliged !

  • Ian O'Donnell says:

I’ve stopped watching all coverage of Scottish football on the BBC. Their anti-Celtic discourse is undeniable.

  • ROBERT DOWNEY says:

Absolutely ban them from Celtic Park.
I didn’t watch it, I was still in the pub.
I have long been a critic of BBC SPORTS SCOTLAND, the content of their programme leaves a lot to be desired and the rogues gallery of pundits are invariably of the obnoxious persuasion.

What happened to a balanced critique?
You will never get that with this mob, the only way that would have been worth watching last night would have been if Sevco had dropped points.
It would possibly have been good viewing to see rogues gallery squirming in their seats.

  • Jim says:

    Totally agree
When they have previously had a knuckle dragger like Lee McCullough on this show as a pundit, known more for kicking players than a football you know it’s scratching its head, a bit like McCullough was while slabbering incoherent garbage.

He’s as bright as a blackout.

Jobs for the sevco failures right enough.

  • James McHugh says:

It’s not parkhead it’s Celtic park

    • SFATHENADIROFCHIFTINESS says:

For People of my vintage it was always “. Are ye gaun tae Parkheid oan Setterday ?”.
Why? Who knows but what’s in a name?
It’s a bit like saying “ the DebtDome”, “Liebrox” or “ the Hunnery “ Everywan knows whit ye mean.
The only confusion is around the fact that both sets of fans have been known occasionally to refer to each other’s ground as the “piggery”.
      Strange wurld.

      • Clachnacuddin and the Hoops says:

Aye – It’s always been Parkhead for me as well…

However I have sang many songs where the lyrics have had me saying Celtic Park as well as Parkhead –

And then there’s always PARADISE !!!

  • Slugger O’Toole says:

It’s for the club to say something but of course the board likes the new club very much and is keen to help as much as possible.

  • Bernie Doyle says:

BBC Scotland are a disgrace in many different ways not least in my opinion their hiring policy. I wonder if the powers that be in London within the BBC , a tax payer funded organisation all be it they call it a licence are aware that so many tax cheats are being paid a salary or fee. For the tax evaders in question it must be nice to cheat the public purse out of thousands of pounds and then have the public purse funded BBC employ you. In effect the public purse is paying your fine for cheating the public purse in the first place.

    • SFATHENADIROFCHIFTINESS says:

Except that the guilty beneficiaries of Murray’s financial ‘ledger de main’ were never publicly punished.
Its true that Hector’ the much maligned HMRC ferret was able to ensnare a few of the miscreants that were somewhat tardy in organising their financial affairs, ‘off-shore accounts’, or feigning bankruptcy after transferring their financial assets to their spouses. Very trusting of them. Are you listening Mr Ferguson or ‘Bawwie (Bawheid) as he is commonly addressed.
But ‘punished’? In Hunluvin Scawlinn? Perish the thought.

No the tax evaders / avoiders ( there is no real difference as the Public Purse was denied monies that it was lawfully due. To state otherwise is a question of semantics or being disingenuous at best), no the cheats were elevated beyond their abilities to pontificate on the game that they had cheated. Poacher turned Gamekeeper in many ways.

So to all those Celtic Fans who still pay the Tv License Tax (for in truth that’s what it is. A Tax on the Poor) or pour your hard earned money into the coffers of the Print Media that, to coin a phrase, is rippin the pish out of you, your faith if you subscribe, your footballing loyalties and in some cases your Political Affiliations, FFS wisen up and turn the taps aff.

      You know it makes sense.
