The SFA Charges Rodgers And Sets The Hearing To Ban Him From The Ibrox Game.

The SFA has charged Rodgers for his comments after the Hearts game, and have very deliberately set the hearing date as far from now as possible; he will be up before the beaks on 28 March, with the game against the club from Ibrox just nine days later.

If found guilty he’ll be in the stand that afternoon.

How much more of this are Celtic going to stand for? The SFA might just ban the guy for the rest of the season, or try to take in both games against the club across the city.

They are now taking an active role in trying to flip this title race and we are mad if don’t acknowledge that. Honestly, this club cannot take this lying down or we deserve everything we get.

The governing bodies are a joke. The Ibrox club went much further than this, much, much further, and there was no disciplinary case against them.

They basically demanded than an official not get matches against them; that was tantamount to accusing him of cheating. But they got away with that.

Rodgers, in the aftermath of a dire afternoon, attacked these guys on the basis of their competence. No matter what the rulebook says, that’s a much lesser offence than Ibrox’s, and they got away with that only because of the sly way they went about their business. But the double standard stinks to high heaven and we can’t roll over for it.

I know we’ll fight the case robustly. But the whole way they’ve gone about this is disgusting. They could have scheduled that hearing this week and got it over with.

They are dragging it out very deliberately and we all know damned well why. Celtic knows it. Rodgers knows it. They are openly mocking us with this decision and its timing.

Celtic should be making a statement tonight, laying out our utter disgust.

So what if they try to do us for bringing the game into disrepute? Other clubs get away with it, and what’s the worst they can do? A points deduction? Maybe some board member will have to buy their own tickets for a Scotland game or something.

The game in this country is a joke. Celtic, as a club, tolerate far more than they should. The SFA allows the club across the city to get away with murder.

Our manager gets hauled into the dock for one after-match presser.

They can threaten every commercial contract Scottish football has, but how dare our manager suggest that their officials are crap at their jobs?

You tell me who the mugs are here. This lot are pissing all over us, and all of us are entitled to wonder just what Celtic intends to do about this short of a couple of strongly worded statements if we’re even willing to go that far.

This is a blatant effort to decide the title race in the halls of Hampden, and if we’re going to simply put out a press release, we’d be as well doing nothing at all.

We may as well wrap the trophy in blue ribbons and drop it off ourselves. We’re getting screwed. That’s pretty self-evident. What exactly are we prepared to do about that?

The SFA are the one bringing the game into disrepute, with the timing of this hearing. Either all the teams stand together and challenge the ridiculous decisions by VAR officials or they’ll reap what they sow if they don’t stand united.

  • Bob (original) says:

Well, it’s our Board’s fault for allowing the SFA to treat sevco so

    differently to CFC.

This is the culmination of our Board’s silence about ‘inconsistencies’ over the years.

IF that confusing silence is connected in any way to events around 2012,

THEN our Board will let BR swing…and then he’ll definitely walk at season end.

IF – somehow – our Board does challenge the SFA,

THEN we all know we’ll never, ever, get satisfaction.

A Judicial Review might be the only recourse?

[ And ibrox did request a Judicial Review about their 12 months transfer ban

in 2012 – and without any repercussions from the SFA for reverting to civil courts.]

This whole stitch-up is just another distraction – which can only help sevco.

  • mcg123 says:

Rodgers is no fool. He actively chose to name Beaton in all of his after match pressers. He and Celtic knew full well that they would be sanctioned. I can only assume a plan is afoot…

  • Jim says:

    Yeah exactly,
An collum has still to ref a game against sevco , 22 days before we hear if he’s getting banned, this cannot be more blatant than conspiring to give sevco an advantage.

Seriously I used to think we were paranoid, now I know there out to get us.

  • John L says:

They can’t be above every law?
Can we take this fight to a higher level, to a much more level playing ground .

    Fergus wouldn’t sing the blues.

  • John L says:

    Court of Arbitration of Sport.

    Here we go.
It’s all out there, we don’t need Mulder and Scully to find the corruption.

  • Joseph Mcaleer says:

Greig Aitken was booked to be the VAR OFFICIAL on Sunday. Then suddenly after the Ibrox result on Saturday he was pulled. Brother Beaton was installed to get the result required.

  • DixieD says:

Celtic have been completely naive here. BR should have said nothing and let the club release a statement slating the refereeing and VAR for their performance. Hate to say it, but the rangers have got this whole complaining malarkey nailed. Now we’ll probably have our manager in the stand for at least two games, one of which will be the derby.

  • Partick Bhoy says:

Its now time to drag these apron wearers through the courts. No more statements.Actions speak louder than words.Get these masonic b’stards dealt with Celtic.
Time to crack the whip Desmond.

  • Graham Laurie says:

The gloves need to be off now James. Dermot Desmond needs to step up to the plate and do what I’m sure FERGUS would have done if he was still owner of Celtic, compile a dossier of historic evidence stretching back decades and take it to UEFA citing anti-Celtic bias and corruption, also that there is an element of anti-Catholic SECTARIANISM involved which will be frowned upon by them given the majority of UEFA member countries are Catholic.

  • KC67 says:

Tell them that we won’t be funding VAR as of next season.

Peter, Michael and the rest of the frauds on the board can add the proceeds to their pension out. That’ll keep them happy.

  • bertie basset says:

when i was reared by my parents we were always urged to stand up for whats right and never allow others to walk over us , i have instilled the same values in my own family
how can i stand by and watch CFC and those in a position on the board let the sfa , sevco and it’s agents walk all over the celtic support without standing up for our rights ? i will not become a hypocrite for them , for years the celtic support were derided and patronized treated like second class citizens , i will not allow that happen to me , or go back to those awful times these people are pizzin down our necks and telling us it’s raining .
If the celtic board don’t address this issue and stand up for the club and supporters i will not be returning to support the club or the lie , i would prefer to withdraw the team now and concede the title rather than be robbed of it as we most certainly will be
we would be better off if the rivalry of the two clubs died together and we can take sevco and all the cheating basters down once and for all , i know i am not alone in feeling like this
boycott the rest of the season and do not fulfill the fixtures for to be laughed and and winked at by the people just to let you know they did us up the jaxi

  • Jim Duffy says:

If as you say James the SFA have decided where the league title is going , Celtic should just give up now ,the next time there’s a decision like the ones in the hearts game, just walk the team off the park forfeit the points as we’ve already lost the league.I remember Davie Hay talking about taking his players off and he stated the biased officials were so bad that Celtic should try and get into an English league. In all these years since the assassins tenure as manager fuck alls changed in parochial, bigoted small minded jockland.

  • Zeddy says:

Maybe they should say that they are astonished that the organisation where two senior members of staff (one being the chairman) had to be sacked hasn’t properly been cleared out.

    Astonished ……feck me !!!!!!

    • Bunter says:

No wonder many young guys and girls are following the EPL and La Liga and rejecting our game. Scottish football is corrupt. The MSM are compliant. But the bigger scandal is that Celtic stand aside and do nothing. Long term – Scottish football on par with the League of Ireland and other small leagues. They’ve killed the golden goose and our board don’t seem to care.

  • Charles Donaghy says:

Celtic need to get the finger out and take them on . It’s about time we sorted this once and for all.

  • Clachnacuddin and the Hoops says:

They truly are trolling us openly and in plain sight now…

Or should I say – They are trolling those daft enough to slosh out their hard earned cash on the utter utter farce that is Scottish Bloody Football (ie.The Celtic supporters) –

Well surely now is the time to do what I did and say NO MORE to the yellow barstewrds that run our club…

I never thought I’d say this but sometimes The Sevco fans are wiser than our very own –

The reason being that they also blindly follow their rancid club to the hilt – but d’ya know what – their custodians give their management carte blanch to bring the game into disrepute season after season and nothing whatsoever is done year after year after year to Sevco…

Although they’re Sevco and everything that comes with that I’ve actually got a very grudging respect but respect nonetheless for what they have when it comes to bravery for their rancid club –

Compare and contrast to our ‘surprised and disappointed’ yellow bastards who will no doubt fudge us with claptrap about ‘we cannot comment due to legal process’ pish pot jerker…

And still probably 60,000 will turn up next season for more and more and more cheating misery –

Well if one does all I can say is ‘The Fools, The Fools, The Fools…

Celtic supporters unfree from The SFA shall never be be at peace –

As for Scotland – I hope and pray they NEVER win another fcukin game… Teams that I never wanted to ever beat Scotland were England and Northern Ireland, but now I want them to pure HAMMER SCOTLAND…

Scotland v England – God willing that England prevail…

Scotland v N.Ireland – God willing The Six occupied counties…

Scotland v Isreal – May God see Israel absolutely annihilate The bastard child of The SFA –

And Russia as well – I FCUKIN HATE SCOTLAND AT FOOTBALL AND THE SFA AND SPFL !!!!!

    • Hugh says:

Easy for the rancid club to be brave when all your complaints land in the lap of other apron wearers.

    • Eldraco says:

Dint hold back mate. We need solid organisation only certain bloggers can reach far enough to do it james is one of them. Organise!!!!

  • Hugh says:

Celtic themselves have a big part to play in more ways than one. Had they spent a few Quid bringing in some experience and quality, even a decent left back then maybe a few goals could have been avoided where our left back has been culpable, but no. Had they made a decent effort to strengthen then the men in black might have a harder time with their underhand match rigging.

  • scousebhoy says:

james time to get the block on the ned again he has no place on these sites.

  • William Melvin says:

So,if as expected, Rodgers is banned from the touchline at the Stade de Bigot, surely that must mean the game will have to be played behind closed doors as the custodians of Sevco are unable, and have openly stated, that they are unable to guarantee the safety of high profile (or any other for that matter) Celtic supporters.
What a boost to their chances of actually beating us at their shit tip as the knuckledragging support will savagely turn on their hero’s should Kyogo stick one in Butlands ball bag.
    Win/Win situation for them,methinks !

  • Cyril Donohoe says:

They will more than likely ban Rogers for a lenghtly spell,so what happens when we go to Ibrox. Will the rangers claim they cant guarantee Rogers safety in the stands, they have history here, it is beyond a joke at this stage.
