Celtic’s 6 Million Dollar Man.

|

Not Steve Austin but Charlie.

It’s understood that after plundering the lower leagues in England for Gary Hooper we fancy another piece of the action with the prolific Swindon Town striker. 34 goals in 51 games since he went full time only last October. Before that he played for Poole Town and was a brickie.

Queens Park R*ngers, Burnley and Leeds have been credited with an interest. Say Gary Hooper 20 times before getting angry. Some video footage. Please stick with it (esp the first one)

I detect a hint of cynicism in this piece of prose but… was Ian Wright not 22 before he got his first taste of Pro-football with Crystal Palace?

Apart from his time with us his record stands up against many other prolific goal scorers of his era.

I’d take a punt on Austin; cant be any worse than Murphy or Samaras!

the pithy prose was aimed at those who think easterhouse would be more representative of the slums of argentina for tevez.

The guy is a good footballer but it`s always a question about how a player will respond to a new situation. I like the Easterhouse comment, I lived there from 1958 to 1966 and would probably have never gone to Celtic Park if we hadn`t moved there. Happy days! 🙂

I’m sure the guy is a decent player but Lennon has spent over 4 million on Hooper, Stokes and Murphy as strikers. I don’t think there will be much money available in January and I’d like to think the focus will be on solid defenders.
