1) How good was it to return to CP knowing what you were going to see and not have that sense of the unexpected? Our style is of artisans,artful dodger pickpockets and a coiled rattle snake choosing the right time to strike.

2) When Gary Hooper 88 waved to the bench that his afternoon was done The Greek was sent out to warm up with the Hobbit who, surprisingly, got the shout. If you could encase Shaun Maloney’s career in a moment it came in the second half when he showed tremendous skill to jink past a few defenders before screwing his shot just by the post.
3) Kris Commons is the size of a ripe pumpkin waiting to be gutted by some adolescent at Halloween. This injury seems to have hampered his pre-season. I’ve seen this before. I hope he is not the type of player that if he doesn’t hit the ground running he will struggle….
4) The reception Cool Hand Luka got was heart warming, deserved and needed. The player has been ridiculed – though kicking the ground when taking a goal kick doesn’t do you any favours – and questioned by people who claim to support you.
The Two Holly Goalies chant brought a smile regained my faith in the make of the modern day football fan for at least 5 minutes.
5) Talking of ridicule does bringing on The Derry Pele with 11 minutes left when your 4-1 up not smack of novelty?

I think Wanyama was always one for the future, and there is just no space in the starting 11 for Mccourt, who can we possibly leave out? HH

Signing for Liverpool for a nice wage and the chance to play alongside Carrol, Suarez and Gerrard in front of the KOP isn’t exactly being treated badly!
In all honesty though, i think for the right price we should let him go, i just can’t see him getting a regular game, which is a real shame because he is a joy to watch, but the right thing for the team because others are just more effective imo.
