At the end of the Murdo Fraser article, I put up a little piece about how Thistle fans are claiming to have been kicked out of Ibrox yesterday for brandishing that offence banner we here in Scotland call The Saltire. You know, the national flag?

They also had a Catalan flag, which you might have seen in the news lately …

The incident infuriated Thistle fans and others.

This is Scotland, in the 21st century.

This is not so much the Offensive Behaviour at Football Act in operation, as the Something That Offends Fans At Ibrox Act being used.

The irony of this, of course, is that it happened on Remembrance Day, when the ground was allegedly celebrating freedom from tyranny and the victory of democratic values – including free speech haha, and we know how seriously their fans take that – over fascism.

There’s nothing further I can add to this.
