Ange has named his Celtic side for tonight’s game and there is one notable omission; Juranovic isn’t in the squad.

Let the speculation commence.

Honestly, though, it’s clearly an injury issue, and something we will be looking for a quick update on from the boss.

Overall though, this is a strong team.

He has gone with the forward three of Jota, Abada and Maeda, with the big Greek dropping to the bench. So does Tom Rogic, as he goes with O’Riley, Callum and Hatate; the midfield is so strong right now that you look at this and think it’s very satisfying.

The defence is as you would expect, with Taylor and Ralston the full backs and the centre backs of Starfelt and Carter Vickers.

This is a good team.

This is the time when the strength in depth really starts to shine through, and that the subs bench looks pretty strong along with the starting eleven is telling. We are a long way from where we were at the start of the campaign.

Aberdeen will test us tonight. But I think we’ve easily got enough for them. We should be looking for three points tonight, and maybe even a few goals with it.

Catch you all on the other side.

CELTIC: Hart, Taylor, Starfelt, Abada, Jota, Carter-Vickers, O’Riley, Maeda, Hatate, McGregor, Ralston.

Subs: Bain, Scales, Bitton, Giakoumakis, McCarthy, Rogic, Johnston, Forrest, Welsh

This is why we have a squad. Tony Ralston is a more than adequate back up for Juranovic. In fact, it wasn’t that long ago we were wondering if Juranovic would get his place as RB back when he was playing LB to cover for GT.

I’d rather have him in the team but the fact he is not doesn’t concern me other than I hope his injury isn’t too serious.
