The SFA Charges Rodgers And Sets The Hearing To Ban Him From The Ibrox Game.

The SFA has charged Rodgers for his comments after the Hearts game, and have very deliberately set the hearing date as far from now as possible; he will be up before the beaks on 28 March, with the game against the club from Ibrox just nine days later.

If found guilty he’ll be in the stand that afternoon.

How much more of this are Celtic going to stand for? The SFA might just ban the guy for the rest of the season, or try to take in both games against the club across the city.

They are now taking an active role in trying to flip this title race and we are mad if don’t acknowledge that. Honestly, this club cannot take this lying down or we deserve everything we get.

The governing bodies are a joke. The Ibrox club went much further than this, much, much further, and there was no disciplinary case against them.

They basically demanded than an official not get matches against them; that was tantamount to accusing him of cheating. But they got away with that.

Rodgers, in the aftermath of a dire afternoon, attacked these guys on the basis of their competence. No matter what the rulebook says, that’s a much lesser offence than Ibrox’s, and they got away with that only because of the sly way they went about their business. But the double standard stinks to high heaven and we can’t roll over for it.

I know we’ll fight the case robustly. But the whole way they’ve gone about this is disgusting. They could have scheduled that hearing this week and got it over with.

They are dragging it out very deliberately and we all know damned well why. Celtic knows it. Rodgers knows it. They are openly mocking us with this decision and its timing.

Celtic should be making a statement tonight, laying out our utter disgust.

So what if they try to do us for bringing the game into disrepute? Other clubs get away with it, and what’s the worst they can do? A points deduction? Maybe some board member will have to buy their own tickets for a Scotland game or something.

The game in this country is a joke. Celtic, as a club, tolerate far more than they should. The SFA allows the club across the city to get away with murder.

Our manager gets hauled into the dock for one after-match presser.

They can threaten every commercial contract Scottish football has, but how dare our manager suggest that their officials are crap at their jobs?

You tell me who the mugs are here. This lot are pissing all over us, and all of us are entitled to wonder just what Celtic intends to do about this short of a couple of strongly worded statements if we’re even willing to go that far.

This is a blatant effort to decide the title race in the halls of Hampden, and if we’re going to simply put out a press release, we’d be as well doing nothing at all.

We may as well wrap the trophy in blue ribbons and drop it off ourselves. We’re getting screwed. That’s pretty self-evident. What exactly are we prepared to do about that?

It’s clear and obvious that then grey matter.that run out club are not up to the task.

You say sly I say unforgiving, dynamic and well advised albeit crass.

The “grey brigade” are just not up to the task. This is no a one off it’s a pattern of self destruction.

This board are sitting comfortably on some kind of fake virtue thinking it buys them credit.

They are so behind the curve in developing this club properly.

Don’t think for one second that once they land the £60 m they won’t spend and that spend will line up the sponsors particularly if they do well in Europe again.

It is indeed an “astonishing” level of failure

We could still win this league so I’d advise some caution. That shambles across the city have a number of injuries that will impact them and their points gathering ability. We need to step up and do it on the park first and foremost and a win at the midden could easily happen if we just take our chances.
It will of course depend on the MIB and in the VAR lodge. I simply don’t believe that all refs are corrupt, though definitely some are and the SFA are and have been for many years, sorry decades or even generations. Before you were all born.
Listening to some of our fans saying the board should have stood up months or even years ago is just like a repeat of the same old song. Heard it all before and the answer has always been to what end. It will only bring further sanctions. The power lies with them. It was when we were formed waiting for us.
This club and our fans should have stood up decades or even generations ago. We can’t keep waiting for somebody else to do it for us. Blaming the current board is far too easy.
Go back in time and you’ll hear exactly the same complaints. Long before Big Jock and his successful teams. The fault lies with authorities, the association, the refs, the police the governments even. What about the fans? We too have put up with it due to a lack of fight and placid acceptance.
It’s not a new phenomenon and any fan that knows our history knew this was coming. As predictable as the SFAs inaction against the huns every time they voice their concerns about Collum or any other that fails to do their bidding.
Let the SFA know of our planned actions in advance of their hearing on Brendan. Let them know we not going to take it no more. Raise our case to EUFA, FIFA, the Court of Arbitration and every country particularly in European that we can. Non compliance with their judgments would be a start, the start of raising the focus to sporting and sports channels everywhere. Start with statements of intention to the press and media in the country, UK and European club and EUFA.
Add to it a dossier as far back as we can go highlighting written and video documentation. There’s plenty there. Farry and Dallas’s actions would be fine exhibits. Brendan should turn up on the touch line with the club’s backing should they dare to apply punishments regardless of foresight of our planned actions. Our fans needs to be vocal as feck sending the message around the world. The WWW is a wonderful tool.
This could be the beginnings. Apply to play in an alternative league or to any new league that pisses off existing authorities.
The pathway of action could be made so clear to these corrupt authorities. Have we the bollocks. The time is now. No more sitting placidly back. HH

Sorry I failed ‘Before your were all born’ to insert OR take serious and irreversible actions now. Ha ha ha

  • Paddybhoy67 says:

They should send Hoopy the Huddlehound to the hearing. Show the pr**cks what we think of them.

  • Effarr says:

They should do the same as Jock Stein did, with the blessing of the old Celtic Board I may add, when Jimmy Johnstone was suspended by the SFA for the return World Club Championship game against Racing Club. Stein ignored them and played Johnstone. Even then they didn`t want Celtic to win the WCC. Needless to say, they backed down with the threat of any punishment, like they did with the tricolour.

    • john clarke says:

Effarr. Jock bailed-up the SFA like a bull preparing to charge.
Jock had one advantage. His alter ego bull’s breed was Freemason.

  • Gerry says:

I’m sure we shall all find out soon enough if our club has a cunning plan to defeat the nasty SFA’s band of whistling brothers!
Comments are mentioning that we’ve waited till now to wake up and complain.

No, fans have known for decades but could never really do much !
VAR has provided the cheats with whistles, better scope to assist their team and harm ours! In doing so, fans, and I’ve no doubt our board, manager and players, can see this unequivocally, and the evidence is now there.

Sunday, although brutal, was complete vindication of the fears we’ve all had about bias, cheating and possibly more from our officials & their backers!!!

We should fly wee Fergus over, arm him with all facts and unleash him on this pathetic mob, who are supposedly entrusted to govern our game with integrity and transparency…sorry I stifled a chuckle there!

We need another version of Farrygate, and this cheating cabal taken to the cleaners by every legal means we can muster!

To stand still and accept this garbage would probably be the final nail, in our ‘incompetent,’ boards’ coffin and more ignominy for our club.

There must surely be a plan for events like this…and I try to put that across without a hint of sarcasm!!

And all the shouts for fans to stop paying for their season tickets …really ? Fans, families that have gone for years, the same seats etc for decades !
Do we really believe that will happen and needs to happen, for serious change at our club ?

Celtic, withdraw all funding for the Video Assisting Rangers project and ensure that the Shifty Fraudulent Association are taken to task. Our fans demand and deserve this !

  • Margaret McHarg says:

They are not getting of with this
Celtic should take this matter to a higher level .

  • Chris says:

    Totally corrupt and cheats.
I do not recall Barry Robson getting pulled up for his comments after the dons v huns game earlier in the season.
It would be so good to leave the SPL and play elsewhere

  • Dan says:

Fans could help here, empty stadium for Scottish Cup v Livingston would be great

    • Roisin says:

What possible good would that do—other than withdraw support from our team at this desperately needed time when support is required at its fullest? Why, oh why, do people think hitting the club financially, withholding team support and backup – ffs, what happened to the bloody ‘twelfth man’ the team so much needs right now? By NOT supporting the boys on the park, we are proactively helping the people who want to reduce our club.

      • Gerry says:

I agree Roisin…fans and families that have held the same seats and areas for decades have just to give them up and not renew? If it was all so easy. They don’t renew and another fan happily pays for their seat(s) and so it goes on with nothing changing !
I agree the team needs our full support more than ever ! Empty stadiums benefit our rivals and enemies at this time !!!

Until this board of ours ( or hopefully new blood on our board,) is pro-active, forceful and drives through the requisite and acceptable changes through our game, and for the benefits of our fanbase & others in our game, we shall be having these conversations, ad nauseam!

  • Pan says:

Court action is the only answer.
Fergus would have had this sorted in the blink of an eyelid
His complete honesty and integrity made him invincible!
