All this fake adulation, once a summer, in the hope that he will win the main major Championship, in a sport that Scotland doesn’t really give a sh”t about, completely baffles me.

Got no time for international competition myself, but I can just about understand people getting behind a national team that somehow represents their country. However, cheering on some roaster in an individual sport just because both your mums were on the same page of the atlas when they dropped you is just bizarre.
